Bottle & Oranges

Thanks to the Thanksgiving holiday, I spent 4 hours today in completing this painting.  For those with discerning eyes,… It is the bottle that is small (grape juice) and not the oranges, that look rather large compared to the bottle. (The bottle is Short and Stout as well).

Size: 6″ x 6″;   Time Taken: 4 hours

Cherry Blossoms

I am on a low palette diet.  I have banished all the colors, from my palette, except for Ultramarine Blue, Alizarin Crimson, Cadmium Yellow light and Titanium White.  (i.e. the primaries and white). I will continue with this limited palette for a while.

I used the above limited palette to do the painting below.  The Cherry Blossoms are in full bloom at our house (I think they are Cherry Blossom).  They were calling out to me, to be painted and I was drawn to them.  So here it is.
