Here is another 15minute Cafe Sketch, in Pastel… done today at the Barnes & Noble bookstore.  Off course this sketch was done in total stealth, therefore the gracious model did not know and thankfully, did not leave… 🙂

For curious and up and coming Artists, I started with a mid-value earth red (burnt Sienna type) and completed the sketch. Then I put in a second layer of dark-value red (burnt umber type) followed by the finale of light values i.e. white for highlights and red for the lipstick, and yellow for the dress… Very Simple!
