I have been doing a bunch of studies of my (left) hand.  This is a good way to learn skin tone and temperature changes in skin color.  Loved the exercise.  (This picture had a little bit of another hand sketch showing, that I digitally edited).   The idea is to paint very loose and drop paint with minimal to no blending…. Enjoy!

You can catch some of your family members while they are busy, doing something and not moving much.  A good time for sketching…  (20min pencil sketch).

This is a tiny 4″x4″.  I am on a mini-holiday and therefore at home, doing lots of tiny studies.  I have been experimenting and trying out different colors, medium and painting surfaces.  This study is one of several I have done.
