Dallas Arboretum

I was planning to do a few small oil paintings.  Unfortunately, it is hard to do any such secluded activity with family around, as they feel ignored.  So the best I could do was a Pen Sketch.

I had brought some watercolor, in the hope that I will be able to squeeze some time, somehow, to do a watercolor sketch.  But no such luck!

Santa Fe, New Mexico..

We went to Santa Fe, New Mexico last summer.  A beautiful place.  Going for a painterly look.

From a photograph

An artist had posted, a photo of a scene, she was going to paint en-plein-air.  I loved this a lot and had to do the same.  Call it living vicariously through her.  I am doing this for satisfaction and practice only.  I wonder how did her painting turn out.  (Pardon the Glare!)

Black & White study of a rose

This is just another out of many studies I have done. Black and White studies are good for heightening ones senses in perceiving value and color.
