I have painted one red head before and a few portraits of Africans, but have not posted them anywhere I remember. So here is a sort of a debut.
An African Tribal beauty. Sort of takes me to Maiduguri, Nigeria, where I grew up.
A Fiery Beauty.
I love a cityscape with hustle and bustle of people. I was drawn by the red canopy of this cafe. (Ref Photo: Pinterest). A landscape and cityscape is very forgiving and one can focus more on value, intensity and edges rather than accuracy.
Grapes are interesting to paint, as they have a little bit of transmitted light that makes them glow. This is done from various reference photos (pinterest) and some imagination

There is always something new to be learnt and to be applied. Here are a few art work done recently. I have been watching some loose techniques by Quong Ho. I took some inspiration from him in the works below. It is definetly my way of making art.
